21 Spanish companies are taking part with Home Textiles from Spain at the 17th edition of the Turkish trade show, considerably increasing the participation of Spanish companies at this event in comparison with previous editions.

Home Textiles from Spain, the foreign promotion department of ATEVAL (Association of Textile Companies of the Valencian Community), is lending special attention to the EVTEKS trade show, held from 18th to 22nd May in Istanbul. EVTEKS is a must-visit trade event attracting all the world’s major importers and a growing interest from Spanish home textile exporting companies. This year 21 Spanish companies will be exhibiting their products at EVTEKS—six more compared to last year—as part of the joint participation organised by Home Textiles from Spain.

With over 1,000 exhibitors from all over the world and almost 100,000 visitors, EVTEKS is widely recognised as the second most important event for the industry. Bearing this in mind, Home Textiles from Spain, as part of its ongoing mission to communicate and promote Spanish brands in major international commercial forums all over the world, views this participation at EVTEKS as a unique opportunity to boost the profile of Spanish Home Textile products and to position them within the trends of this industry. Likewise, the leading Turkish trade show acts as a point of connection for both Eastern and Western markets, encouraging contact and business transactions between companies from both markets.

EVTEKS is also the ideal platform to get a good insight into the latest trends, with the Spanish home textile industry making a notable contribution with its new introductions and proposals that are set to bear a big influence on fashions and consumer habits in the industry.

Upholstery, curtains, lace curtains, bedspreads, duvet covers and blankets are all pervaded by the influence of the countryside and bucolic nature: the two main sources of inspiration for Spanish companies this year. At this edition, floral and organic prints are sure to attract a lot of attention. Particularly noteworthy is the use of striking colours such as Klein blue and touches of green, white, yellow, pink and orange. The result is cool and cheerful ambiences for both indoor and outdoor spaces. Based on the same premises, the focus of attention is directed towards transparent and light fabrics in which white is the prevailing colour, conveying a discreet and calm elegance.

On the other hand, there is also a strong influence of jacquard prints designed in restrained colours such as greys, deep-reds and purples for more sophisticated interiors. Contemporary proposals can also be seen in curved and rounded compositions and patterns.

To tie in with the participation of Spanish companies at EVTEKS, Home Textiles from Spain has carried out a series of informative actions, such as the publication of a catalogue featuring useful information on exhibiting companies to be distributed during the fair, together with an e-mailing including an interactive PDF to be sent to potential clients all over the world.
